Occasionally we come up with brilliant, mouth-watering entrees and share the recipes with the world. Consider yourself lucky.
We are Erika, Christina and Kristen (or K10).
About K10
When it comes to cooking: I love feeding people, and seeing them enjoy my food. I love making things from scratch, at least once, to see if it’s really worth buying it at the store. For example, bread is easy to make and tastes way better homemade, fried chicken on the other hand… just go to Popeye’s.
My cooking philosophy is: I make things that seem impressive, but are actually pretty simple. Also – always double the garlic!
My inspiration: traveling and eating the local cuisine, seeing novel things at local restaurants, the slow food movement, learning about new foods that I know nothing about.
Where you get ideas/ find recipes: Check out the blog roll for some great cooking blogs that I constantly read and am inspired by. I love watching Top Chef, Chopped and Iron Chef to get ideas. Recently I discovered the huge catalog of amazing cookbooks at the local library, so I am running down that list. Also, I am magazine junkie, so I get a lot of recipes and ideas from some of my fav periodicals, including Food Network Magazine, Bon Apetit, Real Simple, and Martha Stewart Living.
About Erika
When it comes to cooking: I’m pretty damn good at it.
My cooking philosophy is: The simpler, the better. There’s a time and a place for the complex recipes but I believe that if you’re cooking with high-quality, farm-raised meat (or wild caught seafood!) and your vegetables are fresh, local & in-season (and maybe organic), you don’t need to do a whole lot to really bring out the flavors. Oh, and keeping things as paleo as possible.
My inspiration: Making paleo snacks and meals inventive, accessible and appealing to everybody. I will convert you!
Where you get ideas/ find recipes: I tend to make up my own recipes (as you can tell since I clearly don’t measure anything). I get recipe ideas from my paleo friends (who are also incredibly good)
